“We are looking forward to welcoming back pupils already attending the senior school together with Year 6 children from across our community which will be transitioning from primary schools. This will be a fresh start that we can all embrace with confidence, I hope that it would be the number one choice for pupils and parents for the coming school year.”

Duncan Mills

Executive Headteacher

We are very pleased to announce that Sandown will have an all-through school from September 2018, Executive Headteacher, Duncan Mills is encouraging parents to consider their options for their children’s education from Year 7.

The all-through school will extend up to age 16 years, the quality and ethos of the Cornerstone Federation which already operates The Bay CE Primary School and Niton Primary School. Both schools have been rated as ‘good’ by OFSTED and most recently The Bay passed its SIAMS inspection with flying colours.

From September 2018, the all-through school in Sandown will provide education for children aged four to 16 years at The Bay CE Primary School and the former AET Academy site at The Fairway, Sandown.
