Academic Tutoring Day - Thursday 9th February (Secondary)

A reminder that it is Academic Tutoring Day on Thursday 9th February. 

This is the second and final Academic Tutoring Day this year; it complements the Parents’ Evening(s) and gives you the opportunity to speak with your child’s tutor about their overall progress, review their targets and raise any queries you may have.   

Parents and carers have been given the opportunity to book a face to face meeting with your child’s tutor, there has also been the option for a limited number of virtual appointments. 

During the face to face meeting your child is expected to attend with you in full school uniform so they are involved in the discussion of their academic progress. 

Students in Years 7-10 will be learning remotely and all work will be set through Google Classroom. Year 11 students will be attending school as normal but their day will involve specialist Year 11 Exam Techniques from Positively You and they will also be involved in English, Maths and Science sessions. Year 11 students are still expected to attend their appointment with their tutor and parent/carer during the course of the day.  

Students were given the opportunity to sign up to complete leadership qualifications from 9:00-12:00 pm on this date. Students who have signed up for these will be in school for the morning.
