The Bay CE School

GCSE Results 2026

Students, parents and staff came together this morning to celebrate a wonderful set of GCSE and vocational results.

Delighted Headteacher, Emma Bowden, commented:

“We are extremely proud of our wonderful students and are delighted that their results reflect the hard work, commitment and effort they have put into their studies. They have been a truly fantastic cohort who, in the main, have demonstrated impressive levels of maturity, resilience and determination.

“While we are, of course, pleased to celebrate the academic achievements of our students, we know that every young person is so much more than a set of results. At The Bay, we value every individual and recognise the unique contribution, qualities, character and personal journey of each student. Our measure of success is not simply the grades they achieve, but the young people they have become and the confidence, skills and values they take with them as they move on to their next chapter.

“I would like to thank every member of our dedicated and talented team of staff, whose care, encouragement and commitment have helped our students to achieve their potential and prepare for their next steps. We are particularly proud that so many of our students have secured their first choice of sixth form, college, school, apprenticeship or training.

“As our students leave The Bay and embark on the next stage of their lives, we hope they do so with a strong sense of who they are, a belief in what they can achieve and the resilience to embrace the opportunities and challenges ahead. We wish every one of them the very best for the future and look forward to hearing about all that they go on to accomplish.”

There are many students who have much to be proud of, with their results opening doors to exciting future courses, education, training and employment opportunities. We are also proud of the many individual journeys behind these results, recognising the perseverance, personal growth and achievements of students across the school.
