National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships 2025

The Bay CE School Indoor Rowing team attended Sandown & Shanklin Rowing Club to take part in the National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships. The races were over a set time, increasing for each year group from 2 minutes to 6 minutes in length.

Pupils raced exceptionally well in all age categories and have posted some impressive distances. The virtual national competition closes tomorrow at 5pm. As it currently stands, notable results in the top 30 are:

Daisy - 26th

Year 9

Connie - 1st

Rosie - 4th

Amelia - 19th

Year 11

Isaac - 5th

Finn - 26th

A huge congratulations to Connie in Year 9 who is National Junior Indoor Rowing Champion!

Connie beat all other Year 9 girls in the country to row 1078m in 4 minutes! This is an incredible achievement, well done Connie!
