Sports Highlights 2021-22

The Bay CE Secondary Sports Teams had some fantastic successes during 2021-22. Here are just a few highlights. Congratulations to everyone involved in our sports teams, you have made us very proud.

The Indoor Rowing Team are Island champions.
The Year 9 girls football team are 6-a-side tournament champions.
The U15 girls football team are island league champions.
The U13 girls football team are island league runners up.
The Year 7 girls football team are 6-a-side runners up.
Year 9 boys football team are island league champions.
The Year 7 boys football team came 2nd place in the island 5-a-side tournament
The Year 7, 8 and 10 boys basketball teams are island champions.
The Year 9 and 11 boys basketball teams are island runners up.
Seven of our Year 7 and 8 students represented the Isle of Wight in the Hampshire Cross Country Championships.

Year 10 Sports Leaders supported Broadlea Primary School with the running of their annual Sports Day.
At the Year 8 and 9 Girls Cricket Festival at Newclose Cricket Ground the A team were unbeaten winning all their games, beating Medina, CTK and Island Free School.
At the U13 Hampshire Softball Cricket Festival the Year 7 and 8 cricketers finished 5th overall and were the only island school in attendance.
The U15 girls cricket team beat Carisbrooke and The Free School in the Island Cricket League.
The U13 girls cricket team beat Carisbrooke in the Island Cricket League.
The U13 boys cricket team reached the Hampshire Cup quarter finals.
Our teams came second in the Island Athletics competitions.
