U10 Cricket
The U10s had their first cricket match of the season against Newchurch on Thursday. The Bay batted first with Max & Layla starting strong with lots of runs. Kian and William continued to add to the run tally with excellent communication about when to run, and a great hit from William hitting the boundary for 4. The team worked really hard to protect the stumps and managed to not get any outs.
When it was their turn to field the team bowled very well, and Kian even managed to bowl out the Newchurch player. The Bay were switched on to all the Newchurch batting and worked extremely well as a team to make sure the ball didn’t hit the boundary and got back to the bowler as quickly as possible. They were rewarded in their quick efforts by managing to stump three players out whilst they were running. Hard work by the team paid off, and The Bay won the match by a staggering 28 runs, well done!
