U10 League Cup Winners
On Thursday, the U10s had their league final against Greenmount, a team the boys had played before. Greenmount started strong, and managed to sneak an early goal past Max. The early goal made The Bay determined to get the next one, and with continuous pressure from Callum and a brilliant cross in the box, Tony scored a phenomenal overhead kick. In the second half the boys continued to work hard defensively, with Jaydon having a solid performance barely letting anything past him, and Harry constantly working back. Max made a couple of crucial saves, but The Bay just couldn’t get that goal they worked so hard for.
The match ended 1-1, which meant 5 minutes each way of extra time. Within seconds Callum scored after the ball bounced off the keeper. The boys were on a roll, with Kian then scoring straight from a corner. Into the second half of extra time, Jayden’s fantastic header off the goal line stopped a certain Greenmount goal. Callum scored again after the ball rolled along the goalline and he poached it in. Minutes before the end of the match, The Bay conceded a penalty which Greenmount scored. The Bay held on to win 4-2, and lift the U10s League Cup. The boys looked to do the double, and win the Cup Final against Gurnard after Easter. Congratulations boys!
