U9 League

The U9’s continued their league campaign against Greenmount this week. The team started brilliantly against a very strong Greenmount team, they had plenty of attacks and they worked really hard to get back and defend. The team were rewarded with Mason scoring a goal that nestled beautifully in the bottom corner. Right at the end of the first half Greenmount scored a great goal from a corner.

In the second half, The Bay continued to play some good football, stringing lots of passes together. In his school debut, Morgan had a number of chances to score, as did Eli, they were unlucky that the keeper made some fantastic saves. The whole team continued to get back when Greenmount had the ball, and all the team made some crucial blocks and tackles to stop them scoring. The game finished 1-1, a fair result for a game where all children on the pitch worked really hard. The U9 team have another league game to look forward to after Christmas.
