UKMT Junior Maths Challenge Success

Many of our talented young mathematicians are celebrating after achieving excellent results in the prestigious UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) Junior Maths Challenge. The national competition, which attracts students from across the United Kingdom, encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems.
The 60-minute, multiple-choice challenge is designed to make students think outside the box. Rather than testing standard classroom recall, it pushes participants to apply logic and creative problem-solving to complex, stimulating puzzles.
27 students from Years 7 and 8 achieved outstanding scores, earning them gold, silver or bronze certificates of achievement.

Two students were awarded an impressive gold certificate; Isaac B-S (best in school) and Bailey P. This places them in the top tier of young mathematicians nationwide and they have qualified for the next round which is called Grey Kangaroo Junior.

Silver Certificates: Achieved by 7 students for their excellent scoring.
Bronze Certificates: Earned by 18 students for a strong performance.
Congratulations to everyone who took part.
