Last Friday, the Y5 boys travelled over to Cowes for their cup final against Newport. It was a very close first half with both teams creating chances with Michael, Stan and Jude working hard to keep our clean sheet with Logan, Charlie, Lewis and Stanley linking up well with us being unlucky not to score. Unfortunately, just before half time, Newport took the lead.

We started the second half really brightly and managed to get an equaliser which was brilliant. For the majority of the second half, it was very 50/50 with both teams continuing to create chances, one of which with Jude nearly scoring a long range screamer that went just wide.

It looked like the game was going to extra time but Newport sadly got the winner in the last minute and we were unable to get the equaliser.

It has been a fantastic season for the Y5 boys with them getting to the semi final of one cup and the final of another which is a phenomenal achievement. Well done lads!
