Homework is set by class teachers each week to consolidate key skills in Maths and English. Reception to Year 2 use Seasaw and your child will have been provided with a specific username and password. 

Year 3 to Year 6 use Google Classroom, your child will have been provided with a specific username and password. 

Please speak to your child's class teacher if you are unsure of your child's login details.

Homework is an integral part of school life at The Bay CE School. Its purpose is to help students consolidate their learning from lessons and to develop independent study skills.

Completing homework supports excellent progress and is essential in helping students achieve their goals. At The Bay CE School, we are committed to ensuring that homework is purposeful, challenging, and well planned.

Students are expected to complete all homework to the best of their ability. To support this, the school library is open and provides a quiet space where students can focus and complete their work.

Supporting Your Child with Homework

You can help support your child in completing their homework in many simple but effective ways:

• Create a quiet space: Make sure your child has a quiet, comfortable area free from distractions where they can focus on their work.
• Establish a routine: Help your child get into the habit of doing homework at the same time each evening to build consistency and discipline.
• Stay informed: Check ‘Go’ regularly and ask your child what homework they have.
• Encourage prompt completion: Motivate your child to complete homework on the same day it is assigned to avoid last-minute stress.
• Promote self-advocacy: If your child is struggling with a topic, encourage them to speak to their teacher or ask for help as soon as possible.

With your support, your child can develop good homework habits and build confidence in their learning.
