Student Leadership
At the Bay CE School, we value and respect our students and actively encourage and support them to use their voice and develop their leadership skills. We empower them to make decisions, be a bridge between staff and students and to evoke positive changes. Here are some of our student leaders:
Student Prefect Team:
The Student Prefect Team is a group of Year 11 and Year 10 students who have put themselves forward to lead at the school. They have all completed a formal application and some have experienced a formal interview with the Senior Leadership Team. They act as ambassadors and represent the school during events. They are wonderful role models for younger year groups.

House Captains and Representatives:
House Captains apply for the role and are interviewed. Each tutor group votes for a House Representative. These form the House Council. These House Reps work with their House Leader to assist during Inter House events, fundraising activities and to come up with ideas to further enhance the House System.

School Council
The School Council have been democratically voted in to ensure that every single student in our school has the opportunity to have their ideas and thoughts heard. They work as a communication vessel between students and staff, building good bonds so that all feel valued and heard.
Community Outreach Ambassadors
TThe Community Outreach Ambassadors are a group of Year 9 and 10 students who have put themselves forward to work as a team to make school life more enjoyable for students and staff by organising special events focused on fun and community.

Equality and Rights Advocates
The Equality and Rights advocates completed thorough training and are now working on a program in school to promote Human Rights and Social Justice. They have taken assemblies, set up
a Hanukkah card-making workshop and have planned a series of events for the whole year.
Rights Respecting Schools Ambassadors
We are also delighted to introduce our new Rights Respecting Schools Ambassadors. The pupil steering group is made up of pupils from Year 6 to Year 10, who are all keen to learn about, and advocate for, children's rights.
