Speech and Language/Occupational Therapy

Speech and Language therapy supports children’s difficulties with language, understanding vocabulary and communication. Within school speech and language therapy is supported by the NHS for children joining from an Early Years provider. This is only continued for one year in school. The Local Authority Speech, Language and Communication service continues when a child goes into Year 1, if they have an Educational Health Care Plan or they are supported by the Communication and Language Team (CAL).
