A very warm welcome to Year Five at The Bay. We have two classes taught by Mr Page and Ms Nordell, they are supported by Mrs Johnston and Mrs Holmes.
We all work together to support your children, both academically and pastorally.
To support your child at home, it would be hugely beneficial for them to practise their times table up to X12 regularly, as this forms the basis of most of their Maths work. Supporting your child learning their weekly spellings will also help, and reading with your child and discussing the text is important. Your child will have a Reading Record, and this will need to be signed daily and brought into school.
We subscribe to Ed Shed to help the children learn and practise in a fun way. Your child will have a copy of their login details in their Reading Records. Links to these sites can be found below.
We aim to make learning fun for the children, and are grateful for all of the parental support we receive with your child’s learning.
