The Bay CE School would like to invite you to the first of our Raising Achievement Evenings for Year 11 which will take place on Wednesday 13th November 2019 from 5pm to 6pm.
We are sure you will agree that Year 11 is a crucially important year for your child. With this in mind, we want to help both parents / carers and our students to recognise how challenging the year ahead will be. More importantly, we want to empower you with the knowledge of what to expect this year with the intention of raising your child’s achievement at the end of Year 11.
We have therefore created a programme of evenings throughout this academic year for Year 11. The purpose of this first essential evening is to:
- Highlight the key successes in the Year 11 exams this Summer and how this can translate to success for your child.
- Cement our highest expectations of every student in achieving personal excellence through an enhanced programme of academic and personal development.
- Outline the most important information for core subjects that will empower you, as the parent / carer, to support your child in partnership with The Bay CE School.
- Outline the post 16 options available including College and Apprenticeships.
On your arrival to the Raising Achievement Evening, you will need to register your attendance outside the Lecture Theatre. School representatives will be on hand throughout the evening to serve refreshments, guide you to your seats, and answer any queries you might have.
This is an important evening for students to attend alongside their parents / carers. To support us in maintaining our highest expectations, we ask you to ensure that your child attends the evening wearing full school uniform. This reinforces our ‘believe, inspire, excel’ mantra that has had a very positive impact on the students’ approach to school and their learning.
To secure your booking for this critical event we ask you to please return the form at the bottom of this letter to Mrs Sweek, Year 11 Manager. Alternatively you can email Mrs Sweek on email@example.com. You will be able to book a maximum of 3 seats (including the student) for the evening.
We hope that you agree that this is an exciting opportunity for both you and your child to realise their potential and best prepare for the year ahead. Should you wish to discuss this further, please contact Mrs Sweek at the school between the hours of 8am-4pm Monday to Friday.
