After the U11 girls had success coming 2nd in the Danone Cup final back in September they were invited to play in the Hampshire finals on Thursday 3rd March in Southampton. In the morning they played in the seeding rounds. We were up against some really strong teams, but managed to come 3rd in our group out of 5. This great result meant after lunch we were put into the Championship league. Again the teams were tough, but the girls worked really hard despite starting to tire.
In our last game April scored a fantastic goal meaning we won our final game. We did narrowly miss out on playing in the semi finals, but it was a great experience, and the girls learnt a lot that they can bring back to their league quarter final and cup semi final in the coming weeks. At the end of the day the girls were awarded the fair play award, and each received a water bottle. Well done girls you did yourselves and the school very proud!
