After winning the U9’s cup last week, The Bay’s U9 boys team wanted to continue their success as they headed to Queensgate for their league final against Gurnard. The boys worked hard in the first half, having a number of shots saved or put just wide. The attacks finally paid off when Harry scored a fantastic goal before half time. In the second half the boys kept going, determined to score again. However it was Gurnard who got the goal, so at the final whistle the score was 1-1. This meant the game went to extra time, where Kian scored a fantastic goal from outside the box that went in just under the crossbar. The boys then had to defend well as a team to ensure their lead, which they did, finishing the game 2-1 and being crowned league champions!
Congratulations on the double boys!
