There have been an array of festive activities and lessons taking place at the primary site this week. Our children are amazing! Thank you to all of the parents and carers who came along to support the events.
It was the Reception children’s first performance on stage and they really were fantastic. They clearly enjoyed every minute of their time in the spotlight. It was a delightful production.
Many congratulations to you all. I am sure you will agree they were all amazing.
Thank you to all involved.
Well done to all children in Years 1 and 2 for their wonderful Christmas Nativity performance. The children worked extremely hard to learn their lines, songs and dances and they put on a brilliant production.
We hope you enjoyed the performance just as much as we all did.
Well done, everyone
It was lovely to see St John’s Church full last night for another absolutely fantastic Carol Service.
A special thank you to all the children and The Secondary Choir for making this a truly special Carol Service.
Thank you to everyone who came along and supported this very special event.
Christmas Dinner 2019 — well over 1000 meals served to children, parents and friends!
This year Christmas Dinners at The Bay has been as successful as ever. It was an immensely, successful and enjoyable experience. Brightened by some lively Christmas music, the spirit of the season filled the hall. Staff members joined the dinner staff to deck out the tables and serve the delicious food.
A BIG thank you to our chef and the brilliant kitchen staff for working so hard preparing the delicious Christmas dinners provided over the three days.
Thank you to all the families and friends who came along and for their lovely comments.
What’s been happening in Year 1?
There has been a lot going on in Year 1 over the last few weeks. Last Friday, we particularly enjoyed Mrs Farley’s ‘Bucket Time’ session with the whole year group. Normally, this is a small group activity; but this time, we all got to participate. The best part was dressing up one of our teachers as a snowman (can you guess who it was?) We also loved throwing snowflakes at one another!
We have worked hard preparing for our Christmas nativity concert and have also been finishing off our seasons and materials topics. We have been investigating the most absorbent materials for mopping up a spilt drink and have considered the most waterproof material to make a coat for Father Christmas’ reindeer. It has been an action-packed half term!
