U11 Girls’ Football Success 2000 1500 The Bay CE Primary School

After the success cup win on Wednesday, the U11 girls played their league quarter finals on Friday. They were away at Gurnard, who were a very strong team. Gurnard scored early on, and despite continuing to work really hard we just couldn’t get the ball through to our strikers, and before half time they scored again. In the second half Gurnard scored again, the girls had a number of shots but they just couldn’t quite get it in the back of the net. The game end 3-0 to Gurnard, so although out of the league, the girls look forward to their cup final!

On Wednesday in the pouring rain, the U11 Girls played their semi-final of the Cup against Nine Acres. The girls had a lot of possession throughout the game, and a number of fantastic shots that didn’t quite hit the target. The game finished 0-0, but as it was a knockout match it went to extra time. Lacey scored an excellent goal early into extra time, which was followed by a great goal from Amy. The girls won the match 2-0 to take them through to the cup final in the coming weeks!! Well done girls, and good luck in the final!
