Year 4

A very warm welcome to Year 4!

This year Mrs Potts, Miss Stay and Mr Mitchell (mornings) are teaching Year 4 and we have the brilliant Mrs Johnston, Mrs Hellyer and Mr Whale supporting us with our learning.

Our topics will consist of ‘Is Quin Shi Wuang a strong leader?’, ‘Extreme Environments’ and ‘What does Art look like in Central America?’

Within our Science lessons, we will be covering: Digestion, States of Matter, Sound, Electricity and Classification of Living Things.

We will be keeping you updated on what the class are doing via newsletters, text, letters and the school website. We hope to plan some exciting trips, when The Government guidelines allow us to do so.

Homework will be set on Wednesdays and collected the following Monday. This will comprise of weekly spellings and maths or English consolidation activities and we encourage pupils to complete it via Google Classroom.

You can help your child at home by practising homophone spellings (e.g. there, they’re and there or here and hear) and all times tables up to 12 x 12, including their division facts. Please also listen to them read.
