Year 8 Parents’ Evening letter 2000 2000 The Bay CE Secondary School
Year 8 Parents’ Evening – 2nd May – 4 to 7pm
Year 8 Preferences evening – 9th May – 5 to 6:30pm
This week Year 8 students heard from Mrs Westcott-Hayes in assembly about the opportunities that Year 8 will have to expand their potential as they are to start their GCSE courses in September 2019. This will be a part of students having three years to develop their knowledge in subjects to gain the best possible grades for their futures. There will be a Preferences evening on Thursday 9th May from 5 to 6:30pm. There will be a presentation at 5pm repeated at 5:45, as well as the opportunity to discuss with subject staff about the courses on offer.
Year 8 students also received this week a letter home (see below) highlighting the Year 8 Parent’s Evening on Thursday 2nd May from 4 to 7pm. This event is always a great opportunity to discuss children’s progress and how to develop to be their very best. As the school has moved to using an online booking system for appointments parents will receive after the Easter break a further letter with details of how to book these appointments online. We are sure this online system will ease the whole process for parents.
