The Bay 4 v CTK 2
The year 8 team hosted Christ the King College for their second match in two days. After their first win of the season the previous night, the boys were keen to put in a good performance against unbeaten CTK.
They started well with some good passing through the field. Torin managed to open the scoring after a couple of missed chances. This was shortly followed by a goal mouth scramble for Sam and a long range effort from Elliot. The Bay finished the first half 3-0 up.
They continued to pressure CTK, however, for most of the second half we were on the back foot, conceding two goals from some brilliant play from CTK. Torin, late in the second half, lobbed the keeper to secure the 4-2 win.
Man of the Match – Jim for pulling off some outstanding saves in goal and keeping the team in contention.
