The U15 girls football squad travelled to Cowes College for a 6 a-side football tournament. The year 10 girls played in the ‘A’ tournament and the year 9 girls played in the ‘B’ tournament.
The year 10 team had some very close and low scoring games in the rounds, beating Medina and Carisbrooke, drawing with Ryde Academy and loosing to Cowes. The girls maintained their composure throughtout and were unlucky not to score more goals. The team of Faith, Tilly, Abbie, Brooke, Leona and Phoebe finshed 3rd overall, mising out on 2nd by goal difference.
The year 9 team had fewer matches, but were able to score lots of goals in each game. They won all three games with goals from Millie, Charlotte and Charlie. Gracie in goal also managed to keep a clean sheet in every game. These strong performances enabled the girls to secure 1st place in this competition. Fantastic effort girls.
