Transition to The Bay Secondary School

Welcome to Year 6 students and families

We have great pleasure in welcoming you and your family to The Bay CE School. We are delighted that you and your child have chosen to join our welcoming and vibrant school community. The Bay CE School is a school that will encourage, support and challenge students to be their very best and to achieve ambitious goals, both inside the classroom and within the extensive range of extra-curricular and enrichment activities that we offer.

This is a very exciting time for students as they prepare to move from Primary school to join us here at The Bay. We know that as well as the excitement they will be feeling, they may also be a little nervous. There is a team of people here at The Bay who will help students to make the transition, with a range of activities and events planned to help them settle in as quickly as possible. Students will soon be feeling right at home and enjoying the many opportunities that we have to offer.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Plested by emailing vplested@bayceschool.org

Mr Allen

SONY DSC

My name is Mr Allen.  I’m Head of Faculty for Design & Technology, Art & Design and Applied Learning.

I’m looking forward to meeting you in September.  Remember to be open to new experiences and challenges, hold you head high and put your best foot forward.

Hopefully, you’ll come back to school energised, equipped and ready to learn.

Ms Garey

Hi year 7!  Welcome to The Bay Secondary!  I’m Ms Garey and I’ve been a teacher here for over 10 years.  I’m also head of Computer science and Business Studies so you may even get me for some of your weekly computing lessons.

I take my tutor role seriously and my door is always open ( with biscuits in my office!).  I know that going to a new school can seem scary, especially with all of the bigger children and more classrooms than Hogwarts, but I want to tell you that I am here for you and you can come to me for absolutely anything.

I look forward to meeting you all, – let’s be top in attendance, participate in all of the house events and be the top tutor group in year 7!

Miss Gaunt

Miss Price

Enjoy your summer holiday and please do not worry about September as it will be a new and exciting time. There will be lots of new opportunities for you to take part in which will also include our fantastic house system.  So have fun, and I will see you in September ready for the start of your new adventure.

Mrs Webster

Hello Year 7!

My name is Mrs. Webster and I am really looking forward to seeing you all and welcoming you to our tutor group in September at the Bay CE School.

Even though we have not been able to meet while you are still in Year 6, please do not worry about anything as everything will be organised and ready for you to start in Year 7. So enjoy the summer holiday and we will all be prepared and  keen to begin a new year in September.
