Island Futures have developed a FREE interactive programme of career activities for Year 11 students, covering part-time work, college, apprenticeships and more.
The programme started Monday 7 June, and runs until Friday 13 August with a GCSE results service and our final live career event.
During the course of the programme, students will have the opportunity to take part in activities, live events and speak to a qualified careers adviser. To compliment the programme, we have also developed a newsletter specifically for Year 11 students.
A full schedule of events and further information including a weekly road map of activities can be found in the links below.

Raising Achievements Presentation
We are sure you will agree that Year 11 is a crucially important year for all students; we are committed to working alongside you to ensure that we meet the opportunities and challenges that Year 11 holds together. We want to empower you with the knowledge of what to expect this year with the intention of maximizing achievement at the end of Year 11.
We have therefore created a programme of events throughout this academic year for Year 11. The purpose of the first essential presentation is to:
– Cement our highest expectations of every student in achieving personal excellence through an enhanced programme of academic and personal development.
– Outline the most important information for all examined subjects that will empower you, as the parent / carer, to support your child in partnership with The Bay CE School.
– Introduce you to the networks and resources that will support and enable academic and personal development in the future
Please note that there is sound accompanying the presentation so please ensure your volume is on when watching it.
We welcome all feedback – if you would like to ask a question which relates specifically to your child please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can respond individually.
