Enjoyment and Discovery
The Library and Study Centre is a wonderful space for students to enjoy before school, after school and during break and lunch times. It is a place for them to read, satisfy their curiosity, play board games, do homework or simply chill out with their friendship groups.
Break and Lunch time Passes
We have a pass system for break and lunch time usage in order to manage student numbers (all Year 7 students get a pass and students in Years 8, 9, 10 and 11 are offered a limited amount of passes on a first come first serve basis).
Reading books for our ten minute Reading Time
Students may come to the library to get a book before school, after school and during tutor time (with permission from their tutor). Those with a library pass can also get a book during break and lunch times.
We have twelve desktop computers as well as an extensive collection of both fiction and non-fiction books available for our students to read for pleasure or to use for homework assignments. Classes are often taken in the library, where a selection of subject specific books await their arrival.
After School Clubs
A variety of after School Clubs take place in the library.
Year 7 and Year 8 students are enrolled on Accelerated Reader, which takes place once a fortnight in the library with their English class. Parents can visit ‘Home Connect’ to track their child’s progress. Letters are sent home with students during the first half term.
The Home Connect Login details for year 7 and 8 students are:
